ช่วงครัวกินได้ก็กิน : How to Make Bua Loi with Grade 8

How to Make Rainbow Thai Glutinous Rice Balls (Bua Loi)

Hello everyone. Today, I'm back with the new topic.
Last Occupation period, my friends and I learned about food and services.
Therfore, we decided to make some desserts to eat and become a part of our lessons.
We were separated into 2 groups and each group has 4 members.
One decided to make Bua Loi or it is rainbow Thai glutinous rice balls in coconut milk.
Another one made mixed berry smoothies. I'm one of member who made Bua Loi.
Let's start it.

Ingredients

1. Pandan juice
2. Butterfly pea juice
3. Pumpkin juice
4. Glutinous rice flour
5. Coconut water and coconut meat
6. Coconut milk
7. Sugar
8. Pandan leaves - It's used to make the dessert smell more sweet.

*We don't use too much juices but we use the concentrated ones.

Appliances

1.  3 mixing bowls
2. A pot
3. A colander
4. A ladle
5. Some bowls

Method

1. Separate glutinous rice flour into 3 mixing bowls equally.

2. Mix each bowls the flour with pandan juice, butterfly pea juice and pumpkin juice separately.

 3. Knead flour until the flour is full with color. Then shape the flour into many shapes depending on our imagines.

 4. Then mix shaped Bua Loi with little amount of flour in order to prevent attachment of Bua Loi.

 5. Boil Bua Loi until the flour is cooked. Later, leave it in cool water for a while.

6. Boil coconut milk with pandan leaves and coconut water.
Then, add Bua Loi and add sugar as you like.
Fianally, add some coconut meat.

7. Eventually, rainbow Thai glutinous rice balls are ready to serve.

It's a lucky one because after these Occupation periods, there is one free period so other students can come to joy with us. We shared our dessert and drinks with them. Some teacher also tasted it.
That's all about this lesson. See you next time!
If we make any desserts again. Perhaps, I will next article.
